How You Join a Text Group (Opt-In)

Program: TelTech Group Messaging — the SMS Group Messaging Service operated by TelTech Advanced Phone Systems Corp (“TelTech”), Brooklyn, New York, USA, at sms.teltech.info. Last updated: August 25, 2026.

Our service lets a group of friends, family, or teammates share one text conversation through a dedicated phone number. You never receive messages unless you opt in yourself. There are three ways to opt in:

1. Text JOIN to the group’s number

A group organizer shares their group’s phone number with you (in person, on a flyer, on a website). You text JOIN to that number and you are in. You will get a welcome message confirming your membership:

2. Reply YES to an invitation

A member of a group can ask to add you. You then receive one invitation message, and you only become a member if you reply YES:

Sarah added you to Shul Carpool (a text group). Reply YES to join or NO to decline. Msg&data rates may apply.

If you do not reply YES, you are not added: replying NO declines, and an unanswered invitation simply expires. At most one invitation per group is sent to your number in a day.

3. Sign up for TelTech News & Updates on our website

On sms.teltech.info you can sign up for TelTech News & Updates — occasional TelTech product news and service notifications by text. You type your mobile number, tick a consent box (it is never pre-ticked), and we text you a one-time code; you are only subscribed after you enter that code, so nobody can sign up a number they do not hold. You will get a confirmation text:

Message frequency varies, standard message and data rates may apply, and you can also text HELP at any time.

Signing up for the news list is optional and is never a condition of using the Service or of any purchase.

What messages you will receive

Only these kinds of text, and nothing else:

Conversational messages from your own group — when another member of a group you joined texts the group’s number, we relay that message to you.
Service messages about your membership — the one-time invitation, the welcome confirmation, replies to the words you text us (HELP, WHO, SUMMARY), and the single confirmation you get when you LEAVE or STOP.
TelTech News & Updates — only if you signed up for it on our website as described above.

Apart from the optional news list you explicitly join, we do not send you marketing, advertising, or promotional texts — and we never text a number that has not opted in.

The important details

Message frequency varies with how active your group is.
Standard message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
Text STOP at any time to stop all messages from that number — it also puts you on our do-not-contact list.
Text LEAVE to leave just that one group.
Text HELP at any time to get the list of commands and this contact information, or reach our support desk any time at cs@teltech.info or tickets.teltech.info.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Leaving and rejoining

Text LEAVE to a group’s number to leave that one group while staying in any other groups on the same number.

Text STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to stop all messages from that number — every group on it — and to be added to our do-not-contact list. Either way you receive one final confirmation and nothing more.

Changed your mind? Text JOIN or START to the same number to rejoin, or reply YES to a fresh invitation.
